Ken Gargett gave this 93 points for Wine Pilot, and the appeal is easy to understand. There is chocolate and blackcurrant here, but also licorice and a warm, earthy undertone that stops it becoming sweet. The palate is generous without being heavy, carried by sleek tannins and enough acidity to keep each glass as inviting as the first. It is drinking beautifully now and has a decade in front of it.
